Project Impact Story – Water Resources Division, Rajnandgaon (C.G.)

Transforming Irrigation. Improving Livelihoods.

Kothari Agritech Private Limited successfully executed a comprehensive micro irrigation project for the Water Resources Division, Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh). The project included the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and three years of operation & maintenance of a drip irrigation system covering 240 hectares under the proposed Dhamansara Mohad Anicut at the Shivnath River.

By replacing traditional irrigation methods with an efficient drip irrigation system, the project achieved 40% water savings and 40% energy savings, while increasing crop yield by 25%. Farmers who previously cultivated only paddy now grow a diverse range of high-value crops including brinjal, tomato, chilli, cabbage, banana, and papaya, resulting in better productivity and improved farm income.

Today, the project benefits 2,500 farmers, ensuring reliable irrigation, equitable water distribution, and sustainable agricultural growth across the region. It stands as a strong example of how modern irrigation infrastructure can transform farming communities and create long-term value.
